LensCulture New York 2022 —
New Discoveries in Contemporary Photography

LensCulture’s latest group exhibition in New York celebrated the richness and diversity of new contemporary photography in many forms, featuring award-winning photographers from 41 countries on six continents. The exhibition includes more than 100 prints.

Jason Au’s striking image “Social Distancing” was featured in this group exhibition. “Social Distancing” was awarded 2nd Place in the LensCulture Street Photography Awards 2021.


Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition 2022

The internationally acclaimed Sony World Photography Awards champions photography in all its forms through diverse categories and its international community. Now in its 15th year, the 2022 exhibition is set to be one of the most expansive editions yet. Showcasing a stunning selection of winning and shortlisted images from all competitions across the Awards, the exhibition celebrates photographers from more than 200 countries and territories.

Jason Au’s photography series “Hong Kong Lines and Patterns” was shortlisted from among 156,000 entrants, for this year’s Sony World Photography awards in the Architecture and Design Category.


Black, White & Monochrome

Monochrome photography, images produced with a single hue, rather than recording the colors of the object that was photographed. This exhibition celebrates monochrome images of different themes, media, and antique processes.

Curated by fine art photographer Douglas Beasley, Jason’s work “Trigonometry” was exhibited in the Black, White & Monochrome.

An international festival dedicated to urban photography that explores the contemporary through all forms of photography set in the urban fabric, since 2014. The festival brings together exhibitions of Italian and foreign artists, workshops, screenings, contests, book presentations, meetings and other events.

Jason’s work “Reality and Illusion” was exhibited, together with his street photography series ‘Hong Kong Lines and Patterns’ selected and reviewed by Italian photojournalist Graziano Perotti as one of the best five projects among the total 80 projects selected in this open call.
